Poul Henningsen (1894–1967)
Artichoke Pendant 33
The large Artichoke pendant forms a substantial suspended volume from repeated copper leaves. Its many overlapping surfaces make the fixture visually active from every angle.
Created in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion, the Artichoke stands apart in Henningsen’s work for its 72-leaf construction. The arrangement hides the light source while giving the pendant its unmistakable architectural silhouette.
